god bless tumblr. i stumbled across this womans fotos and can’t remember where; but her work is nothing short of amazing. i’m really into her ‘back to the future’ series. reconciliation between who i was as a kid and who i am now always makes me wonder. her photos seem to suggest its possible.

maría elena walsh recently passed, and just wanted to tip my hat in her general direction. it was on the news a couple weeks ago, and my mom was teasing me about how i used to go batshit when she would put on one of her records when i was a kid. incidentally i remember her illustrations more than her music, but i suppose i’m just wired that way.
haven’t given mercedes sosa her propers either (unless you consider a half-assed post that got purged from a culture blog i’m no longer affiliated with), but it will come in the form of a screenprint sooner than later.
